Power of Prayer

     The power of prayer is amazing. I have truly come to appreciate the opportunity and privilege that we all have to communicate with our Father in Heaven. Many of us talk with God everyday. But I think many of us may not really feel like He ever talks back. I know I have felt that way at times in my life... Does God really answer prayers? The answer is, YES, He does. The Saviour himself said, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh recieveth; and he that seeketh findeth;and to him that kocketh it shall be opened."(Matt. 7:7-8) Prayer is absolutely a two-way communication. God answers our prayers, but are answered in so many different ways. In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul said concerning the Holy Ghost, "Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifistation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. (verse 4-7)
 

     So even though we may all recieve different manifestations or administrations from the Holy Ghost, it all comes from the same Spirit. I can testify to everyone that God hears and answers our prayers. It is up to us to listen to the still small voice that is the spirtit, and to search for the answer that the Lord gives us. We have to do our part in searching for answers, through the scriptures, more prayers, through our daily lives, and through others. We must also be willing to accept the answer we are given, even if its not the answer we hoped for... The Lord knows us and loves us, and will only do what is best for us, so put your trust in him, and pray always...
